Hi all. Can anyone shed any light on the buying of property in NC. I have read so many conflicting stories I would like some definitve answers please. Are pre 1974 deeds safe? Is it ok for the deeds to apply to just the land if a property was built on it at a later date? Are ant of the other deeds safe etc etc etc.
Also what is the position with the annual medical examination that is required if you want residency? What is the idea of it and what would happen if you failed it.
Are expats entitled to any medical treatment at all or to any other social benefit?
