How can I make a Semolina Cake?

Hey! I need a god recipe for those Semolina Cakes.

The problem is I know of 2 different versions -- One looks like it's baked in honey and usually has an almond on top, and the other looks more "white"?

Any recipes or info would be great, I'm trying to remind my tastebuds of this delicious sweet :lol:

semolina cake

16 oz semoline
8 small eggs
8 oz sugar
Rind of one lemon
1 teaspoon (tsp) baking powder
A pinch of salt

For the syrup.
6 oz sugar
½ pint of water
1 few drops almond essence

Separate the eggs into 2 basins. Beat the yolks with the 8 oz sugar and grated rind of lemon and then stir in the semolina and baking powder. Whip the egg whites with a little salt until they are stiff and then fold them into semolina mixture.
Tip into a greased cake tin and bake for approx 30 mins at 350 degree until cake is brown.

Make the syrup by boiling together 6 oz sugar and the water – pour syrup over the cake and leave to soak……
